An Emerald Tablet: an update
Welcome back, dear reader, I hope the last week has found you well. I know it has been a long time since my last discourse and I want to begin with an apology. I am sorry that I have left you for so long without any kind of update, but I hope that this will help.
Over the last several months I have been finishing my grad school work for my masters degree and, since the study of alchemy is rarely taken seriously, I have been putting as much time as I can into school to try to bring some of that academic respect to our field. The benefit of that to you, dear reader, is that I have been able to do a lot of research recently and now I just need to translate that work into digestible discourses for this publication.
With that being said, I want to repeat something that I have said before in notes (tweets on the substack app, for those without it), taking all of that research and the ongoing or upcoming research will take some time because we are a small team and I refuse to use AI in my writing process or researching process. I have worked with it and continue to run tests with it but it fails every time when it comes to in depth historic alchemical sourcing, so I do not trust it and will not use it. This is just one of those firm stances I have taken to try to bring that academic rigor and respect back to our art.
Next, you may have noticed I said we are a small team and that it is not just me anymore. I've mentioned in the past that I have been working to build a team of talented, professional, and brilliant alchemists, and that has been going wonderfully for the last two years. We have been working on creating a nonprofit organization for some time now and when the paperwork comes back from the federal government, I will have more news to announce. But rest assured, there are amazing things growing in the dark right now and very soon they will he brought to the light. This has been such a long learning experience for me but I cannot wait to share this with you all when it is ready.
Finally, we left off in our studies after covering beginner methods for alchemical meditation, next week An Emerald Tablet will be returning right where we left off, with the next steps for intermediate alchemical meditation. If you are new to meditation or just want a refresher, I recommend picking over the previous discourse before next monday.
Thank you all so much for your support and for reading An Emerald Tablet. I can't think of a better thing to share with everyone than the wonder and magic of alchemy. May you go in peace, and my the next week find you well.
